Class Descriptions:
Hatha Yoga Classes
A class designed for yoga students of all levels.
Steady postures and deep breath-work emphasize balance of body,
mind and spirit while enhancing flexibility, stamina, and muscular
endurance. Modifications are offered for all postures. A guided
relaxation closes the session, leaving you feeling stretched, relaxed,
and centred.
Ashtanga Yoga Classes
A dynamic Yoga practice that blends steady postures,
flowing sequences, and consistent breathwork for a powerful class
where you can let your body and mind flow. The class opens with
a pranayama (breathwork) series, and closes with a guided relaxation.
As this class is quite physically activating, it is not a suitable
class for pre-natal clients.
Essential Level Pilates
An introductory level Pilates class that introduces
the Basic Principals of the STOTT Pilates method, and moves systematically
towards the Power Workout. With consistent practice each student
will progress to new exercises, complex choreography, and a faster-paced
workout help to challenge stronger core muscles.
Teacher’s/Advanced Yoga Class
This program is open to yoga teachers and advanced
students of any form of Yoga. The class will focus on technique,
alignment and adding intermediate moves to your existing practice,
as well as exploring the eight limbs of Yoga. Each class will begin
and end with Mantra yoga practice and Pranayama, and there is lots
of room to share ideas, ask questions, and expand your practice
of all aspects of Yoga.
Core Yoga
Core Yoga is a dynamic yoga and Pilates fusion designed
to lengthen, strengthen, streamline your body, improving posture,
decreasing lower back pain, improving core strength, and benefiting
from the deep breathwork and mental focus of a yoga practice.
